Suzlon Energy share price rose 4.15% to ₹39 during the trading session, compared with the previous close of ₹37.58, taking the company’s market capitalisation to ₹53,651 crore.. The gain came after a period of selling pressure, with the stock falling 31% over the previous 3 months. Brokerage firm MOFSL expects India’s wind power installations to reach a new high, while Suzlon’s order book and delivery outlook provide visibility into future business performance.

Suzlon Energy share price outlook supported by order book

Suzlon Energy’s order book stood at 5.9 GW at the end of Q1FY27. The company had also recorded approximately 1.3 GW in new order inflows during FY27 so far. According to MOFSL, the existing order pipeline provides delivery visibility through Q3FY28.

The brokerage estimates that Suzlon will deliver a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22% in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) between FY26 and FY28.

The company’s delivery schedule is expected to improve in the second half of FY27. MOFSL estimates deliveries of 2.1 GW in the second half, compared with 1.2 GW in the first half.

Suzlon’s earnings follow a seasonal pattern, with the second half typically contributing 60% to 65% of annual EBITDA. This pattern supports expectations of stronger earnings momentum during the second half of FY27.

The stock was trading at 17.5 times estimated earnings per share (EPS) for FY28. MOFSL said this represented a 20% discount to its one-year forward average valuation, adjusted to 1 standard deviation below the average, of 22 times.

The brokerage maintains a BUY rating on Suzlon Energy and a target price of ₹65, based on 30 times estimated FY28 EPS. This target valuation compares with the stock’s historical 2-year forward price-to-earnings average of 27 times.

India’s wind capacity additions could reach 7.5 GW

The Suzlon Energy share price outlook is also linked to the expected growth in India’s wind power installations during FY27. India added approximately 3 GW of wind power capacity during the first half of FY27. Historical trends show that wind installations in the second half have been around 1.5 times the first half’s additions.

Applying this trend points to approximately 4.5 GW of additional capacity during the second half of FY27. This would bring total wind installations for the financial year to around 7.5 GW, in line with the estimated annual target of 7.5 GW to 8 GW set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Electricity demand during evening peak hours is also expected to support further wind capacity deployment. Wind energy can contribute to wind and solar hybrid projects and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects, which aim to provide power according to demand requirements.

A July 2026 paper by the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister reported that average electricity prices during evening peaks in May rose from ₹8.08 per kWh in 2023 to ₹9.40 in 2025 and ₹9.71 in 2026.

These price movements provide data on electricity market conditions during peak demand periods. Sustained strength in late evening merchant power prices could improve the financial viability of wind power projects.

For Suzlon, the projected increase in national wind installations, its existing order book, and the expected rise in second-half deliveries form the basis of MOFSL’s earnings outlook. The company’s future performance will depend on its ability to meet delivery schedules and convert its order pipeline into completed projects.
