Infosys said March 25 it will acquire Optimum Healthcare IT in the United States to expand healthcare digital services, strengthen AI and cloud capabilities, and boost provider-focused solutions, pending regulatory approvals.

Infosys Expands Healthcare Capabilities With Strategic Acquisition

Infosys announced a definitive agreement to acquire Florida-based Optimum Healthcare IT, a consulting firm specializing in digital transformation for healthcare providers. The deal aims to strengthen Infosys’ position in the global healthcare services market.

The acquisition enhances Infosys’ reach among healthcare providers by adding new client relationships and expanding its domain expertise. It also aligns with the company’s strategy to scale digital and cloud-led transformation services.

Infosys Chief Executive Officer Salil Parekh said the move brings together strong provider expertise and advanced digital platforms. “We are positioned to create a differentiated value proposition for healthcare providers,” he said.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.

AI, Cloud Offerings Drive Digital Transformation Push

Infosys said the acquisition will integrate Optimum Healthcare IT’s capabilities with its existing platforms, including Infosys Topaz and Infosys Cobalt. These platforms focus on artificial intelligence, cloud services, and data-driven transformation.

Healthcare clients of Optimum will gain access to broader services such as cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and application transformation. The combined offerings aim to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Venky Ananth, executive vice president and head of healthcare at Infosys, said the partnership will advance large-scale digital initiatives. “Together, we will support improved patient experiences through data-driven, personalized care,” he said.

Optimum Healthcare IT is known for its expertise in electronic health record advisory, implementation, and support services. It also holds partnerships with major technology platforms, strengthening its role in enterprise healthcare systems.

Optimum Leadership Sees Growth With Infosys Backing

Optimum Healthcare IT executives said the acquisition will help accelerate growth and expand service delivery. The company will continue operating with its existing leadership and client-focused model.

Chief Executive Officer Gene Scheurer said the partnership builds on Optimum’s execution-driven approach. “With Infosys’ global scale behind us, we’re positioned to accelerate AI and digital-led growth,” he said.

President and co-founder Jason Mabry said the deal preserves the company’s core strengths. “This next chapter strengthens our leadership position while maintaining the same client-first experience,” he said.

Optimum Healthcare IT, based in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, is recognized for its consulting services and workforce development programs. It has received industry awards and maintains partnerships with cloud and enterprise software providers.
