CMF Confirms Chipset and Launch Details for Upcoming Flagship
CMF is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, on April 28 in India, alongside a suite of new audio products including the CMF Buds 2a, Buds 2, and Buds 2 Plus. In the lead-up to the launch, the brand has been gradually revealing key specifications and design features of the Phone 2 Pro. Most notably, CMF has officially confirmed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, signaling a significant performance upgrade from its predecessor.
The new chipset brings with it notable enhancements in processing and graphics capabilities. CMF claims the CPU performance has been improved by 10%, while graphics performance has been boosted by up to 5% when compared to the CMF Phone 1. This promises a smoother and faster overall user experience, especially for those using the phone for gaming and intensive tasks.
Gaming and Connectivity See Major Upgrades
Designed with mobile gamers in mind, the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s Dimensity 7300 Pro chip introduces a range of enhancements tailored for high-performance gaming. The device will support 120 frames per second (fps) gameplay in titles like BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), offering a seamless and immersive gaming experience.
In addition to graphics, CMF has focused on improving connectivity and responsiveness. The chipset is expected to deliver a 53% improvement in network performance, ensuring faster and more reliable online gameplay. It also supports a 1000Hz touch sampling rate, drastically improving the screen’s responsiveness to touch inputs, which is especially crucial for competitive mobile gaming.
Recent benchmark results also lend credibility to these performance claims. The CMF Phone 2 Pro, identified by model number A001, was spotted on Geekbench by 91mobiles. The listing revealed the phone will come with 8GB of RAM and run on Android 15, further underscoring the device’s premium positioning in the mid-range segment.
Packaging, Pricing, and Market Strategy
In a customer-friendly move, CMF has confirmed that the Phone 2 Pro will ship with a charger in the box, addressing feedback from the CMF Phone 1, which did not include one. This detail, while small, could influence purchase decisions in a price-sensitive market like India.
As for pricing, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to fall under the ₹20,000 price bracket, making it a competitive option in the mid-range smartphone category. With a focus on delivering high-end features at an accessible price point, CMF appears to be targeting budget-conscious consumers who don’t want to compromise on performance.
With just days to go before its official launch, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is already generating buzz in the Indian tech community. If the performance enhancements live up to expectations, it could become a strong contender in its segment.
